Mukaris airstrip - gathering point (also Mukeiras or Mukayras)

Shlomo Barer book page 161  "Jews coming from Yemen in unorganized groups should be directed, once inside the Protectate border, to three reception centers, whence their progress to the camp in Aden could be organized and regulated.  Once such centre was to be Mokeiras (Mukaris) in Auy the dally, where the small airfield could be used for dispatching them on the last leg of the journey by plane-a distance of 45 minutes flying time to Aden.  This as we know, had originally been suggested by the Audally Sultan himself, but Seager now proposed that a certain number of people coming at this point should be sent on by truck through the adjoining territory of Fathly-this in order to bring the Sultan of Fathly in on the scheme.
