Rabbi Rabileh (Gulgati) Synagogue, Quba, Azerbaijan
Namaz (Rabbi) Rabileh AKA Gulgati Synagogue, Quba (קובה), Azerbaijan (Azərbaycan).
Description
Current status: abandoned, half collapsed. The synagogues builder was Hillel Ben Chaim, as shown by his name on the back (NE) side of the building. This is the same builder who built several of the other main synagogues and other buidlings in the town. In Soviet times the building served as a schoolhouse. A placard similar to other synagogues describing when the building was founded and by what community has unfortunately been removed, its frame still stands above the entrance to the building.
