The village of Sandur (Sandor, Sindur, Sundur, סונדור) in Iraqi-Kurdistan.
The village was located not far from Dohuk and was an entirely Jewish village. The houses were arranged around the synagogue which was in the center of the town and the residents were mainly involved in farming and agriculture.
There were 2 cemeteries in Sandur, one for Kohanim (Priests) and one for all the other Jews.
Unfortunately, the city and all is structures were destroyed by Saddam, but the local residents of the neighboring villages remember the Jews residents.
