The city of Sa'ada (Sa’dah, صعدة ,צעדה), Yemen.

Description

Sa'ada was the main city which people living in the Wadi Amlah region associated. Sa'ada had 2 mikvehs plus those in private homes during the rainy season. Near the wall of the city was the Jewish quarter. There was a school/ kitab in Sa'ada. The Jewish cemetery was to the west of the city.

There was a mikveh in the Qadesh synagogues and also one in Bet Madmon.

There was a Mori in Sa'ada and he would teach his students near his house.

There was a well near the house of the Mori.

In one of the synagogues, they would sit on mats on the floor.

One of the synagogues may have belonged to the Jamil family.
