Perched on a small hilltop on the road from Marrakesh to Taroudant is a small terra cotta room with a locked door. This room is the shrine of Yaakov Abudram and Sliman Aviav. The Jewish community of Tahanaout purchased the land for this cemetery in the early the 20th Century, but the community left in 1964.
Tahanaout is a small town located in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains. This Berber town is known for its picturesque olive groves, orange trees, and lemon trees, as well as its red clay constructions.
